Amal Kumar Verma, IAS, Principal Secretary, Cooperative, launched B&W Chess Club website and scholastic chess teaching programme for kids and teenagers in Lucknow today.
Mr Verma said, “Teaching life skills through chess is popular in America and Europe. This is a great personality development module for children and youngsters who have to plan their careers and excel in this highly competitive world. Chess teaches us patience, time-management, courage, control over emotions, planning, critical thinking and much more. All these skills come handy in our personal and professional life. B&W Chess Club multi-feature website offers chess lovers daily free chess news via sms, latest news on national and international tournaments, chess merchandise including books and boards, discussion forum and much more.

B&W Life Skills Through Chess 20-day Chess Course faculty includes international chess players Dr. Junaid Ahmad, Aaron Ascheid, Germany and Shilpa Mehra.
B&W Club magazine is edited by Dr Junaid Ahmad and is India's first chess features magazine. B&W Club has also organized UP's biggest children's chess tournament and India's first live video simul with former national women's chess champion Nisha Mohota in the past.
